Polygon Lover
BY
Tobias Bernstrup

In the video loop Polygon Lover (2000) Tobias Bernstrup uses the Machinima technique (machine + cinema) – a style of animation that uses the graphic engine of video games to create videos and films. By re-mapping the skin of an existing female game character with his own face, Tobias creates his own avatar. The avatar is stuck in an endless loop masturbating and caressing its large low-res polygon rendered breasts isolated by the black void of the screen.
