The conference Marble and Flesh is in connection with the Nationalmuseum’s major spring and summer exhibition ‘Fantasy and Reality – The Art of Johan Tobias Sergel’. It aims to place Sergel within an international, historical, and art-historical context. The conference will be held in English and is in collaboration with the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities.
