After Nature is a video loop depicting the imagined long-term movement of a willow tree. In a foggy winter landscape, the tree slowly twists around its own axis. The work shows a gradual transformation that would normally unfold beyond human perception, compressing deep time into visible motion.

Susanna has a background in queer theory and documentary film, and graduated from the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm. Often combining highly crafted sculptures and vernacular objects within an immersive installation architecture, their work investigates the ontological value of materials, events and bodies – how they sustain or disintegrate, and how meaning is ascribed to the places and times they inhabit.
