Vinsöngkrinöng
BY
Mårten Nilsson

The title, Vinsöng Krinöng, is taken from the fragments of a sign ‘Övningskörning’ (test drive). The film is largely pure improvisation, in which every part is the result of a specific idea. This unconditional testing of the possibilities of the medium gives rise to a disjointed flow of images. A rhythmic montage of Mårten Nilsson’s face in what resembles rapid motion alternated with sequences of the bell tower of Stockholm’s Sophia Church. Vinsöng Krinöng, done in Super-8, may be seen as a free exercise, created under the influence of sheer chance.
