A video trilogy featuring clay figures, ink drawings, amateur acting, drawings directly on the filmstrip and music composed by the artist. The material is filmed on super-8 and transferred into and edited on video. The three short films deal with discomfort and inability to grow up.

About the artist
Born 1959 in Helsingborg, Sweden. Lives in Gothenburg. Åstrand uses different techniques: drawings, installations and paintings, and puts them together in a collage technique, which makes one think of current sampling and today’s ‘cut and paste’ culture. He is both personal and universal in the way he presents new angles of approach, which adds a political dimension to his work.
