Annica Berglund

Born in 1967. Lives and works in Karlstad, Sweden.

Annica Berglund works as an artist with a certain interest in sculptures made in unusual material. She explores the spaces in-between dream, fantasy, and reality, how they connect and separate from each other. The significance that memories, places, and atmosphere can have on meetings between people and between our worlds. And the pictures that this creates. The last years she has mainly worked with photographic material and occasionally with sculptures and installations. Recent education includes Valand, Gothenburg in 2018. Together with Ditte Reijers she runs production company Perfekt produktion, producing films such as Serviettvikarna (The Serviette Holders) and Jag drömde jag var en människa, the latter screened at Göteborgs filmfestival in 2009.

So far in 2019, she has been featured at Liljevalchs Stockholm, Noras Konsthall (separate exhibition), and Göteborg Galleri Backlund 2019 vårsalong.
