Andrea Creutz is a visual artist based in Stockholm and Copenhagen. In 2000 she graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and 2002-2003 she participated in The Whitney Independent Study Program, NYC. Currently she is at The Danish Arts Agency, Visual Arts Centre’s Recidency in Berlin. In Creutz’s work value systems and social conventions are explored. Her interdisciplinary projects address economical, social, and cultural questions, acknowledging that contemporary art and critical reflection make up a coherent area of meaning. Exhibitions and projects include: ‘Story Space on Gift Economies’, CASCO NL (2006); ‘CAPITAL – it fails us now’, UKS, NO, and Kunstihoone, EST (2005); ‘The Hidden Flow’, Sparwasser, DE; ‘PSYOP’ Minority Report, International Art Festival, DK (2004).
