Born 1989 in Rute, Sweden. Lives and works in Visby on the island Gotland, Sweden.
Nicola Godman is a Swedish/Canadian artist working with moving image, photography, sound and installation. She studied Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam and at Konstfack, Stockholm. In her practice she uses her personal experiences from growing up in an agricultural environment to address topics of regional identity, gaze, tourism and urbanisation. Recently her work has been shown at Tempo Documentary Festival, FeKK – Ljubljana Short Film Festival, Ystads konstmuseum, CFF – Centrum för fotografi, Uppsala Short Film Festival and Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation.
