Camilla Jämting is a filmmaker and performance artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Moving Images from the Film Art School in Kabelvåg (UiT) and has a background in both visual arts and nursing. Her work explores the inner lives of people and the tension between what we choose to conceal and what we allow others to see. Blending emotional honesty with dark humour, her films often reveal the surreal lurking beneath everyday life.

Her debut film, Project Dad, a self-biographical short documentary about her relationship with her eccentric father—a self-proclaimed pickup artist—has screened internationally at festivals around the world. The film was nominated for the Amanda Award for Best Short Film and won several awards, including the New Nordic Voice Award at Nordisk Panorama 2024.
